Weather conditions iced us to begin with, once we popped out into the sunlight Gary regained his self and made up for lost time. Doheny got lit up.
It was a pretty quick trip down to McDonald's after that. I think Rich attempted to steal Verm's spot on the San Clemente climb despite some trouble breathing. Nice!
On the way back we scoped out the Bulldog climb. A couple of short steep sections connected with longer false flats. Overall steeper than we recalled, those false flats will be good spots to up the pace :)
On exiting Pendleton we picked up a senior straggler. With Rich hitting it hard and giving relief as if on queue I decided to see what he guy could do. He held on, surprisingly, despite all attempts on his life (no ordinary attacks). Stoic old f*cker, never once went to the drops and insisted on climbing the hills abrest.
Finished up with a early happy hour at Rich's place, thanks!
